Fun Facts
• Moose Jaw’s first fair was held in 1884, downtown, with pickle competitions and livestock races down Main Street.
• The fair first operated on the site of the Temple Gardens Mineral Spa in the fall of 1884, then on the site of the Town ‘N’ Country Mall.
• Moose Jaw was the first fair to introduce the pay-one-price system in 1980, a system that is now used extensively throughout the fair industry. Under this system, the fee at the gate entitles patrons to all the entertainment on the grounds, except for food, midway rides, and games.
• Moose Jaw Exhibition Company has operated at 250 Thatcher Drive East since 1973 and became a year-round operation.
